Default My ****** new tailights are messed up. I need help

I put in some new tailights for my car. Whenever I press on the brake and have a turn signal on. The turn signal turns off and the two guage cluster left and right signal lights light up.

In fact whenever my foot is on the brake the two guage turns signals come on.

What the hell can I do?

AND!!

when the E-Brake is on, my foot on the brake, and the turn signal on, there is a clicking coming from the e-brake area. ALL this never happened before the lights were put in.

I have a 98 Civ coupe. Bought 99-00 style knock off ones.

Thanks for any help if it comes

You probably have a single element bulb where a dual element bulb should be.

well, are you using stock bulbs?.. well, i had aftermarket tail lights and bulb, but when i put my stock taillights back on.. i realize that my signal is fucked up, itz like showing 2 both signals front when i took brake.. when i drive signal works, but when i take a break it won't work.. so i took out the bulbs then put the stock ones.. then it worked fine.. so i think you gotta play with bulbs...i donno... thatz how i did..

yep... I just went and put the original harness back in and the problem is solved. I just took out the entire harness from the outside lamps. And put the stock harness in its place and the problem is gone
