run out of oil?
ground fall off?/battery cable come loose
gas in the tank?
check ecu fuse?
overheat?
main relay good? you wouldnt be able to tell on the side of the road though.

There is no way you are going to see the t/b thru the oil cap.

Has your friend ever changed his spark plugs?

You need air, fuel and spark to start a car. Air is pretty self-explanatory. Check for fuel and spark.

check the rotor button. also, dont try and look for the timing belt through the oil cap opening; you will just look silly.

thats why you look to see if the cam is spinning, if its not timing belt snapped. youd definitly not be able to see the timing belt from the oil cap thow lol

What he means is that there's absolutely ZERO way to see the timing belt through the oil filler hole. If you can see your timing belt through your oil filler hole, I, as well as the rest of H-T) want pics.

It's kind of like checking your air filter through your wheel's valve stem.

blowing that 15A fuse would shut it off immediately, it wouldnt bog down,

a snapped t/b would shut it off immediately

running out of gas would make it sputter

probably sucking in water but if he doesnt have an CAI

i'd say check your typical fuels and sparks

Shoot starting fluid in the throttle body. If the engine fires then you have a fuel problem.
When you turn the ignition key to first position do you hear the fuel pump whirrr to charge the fuel rail? If not it could be the fuel pump. Also change the fuel filter.

could be main relay, i remember my friend's G1 integra kept bogging down when slowing down at a stop sign or redlight and it was a bitch to start it up.

if your using starting fluid on your car for any reason your better off calling a wreaking yard to scrap it out.

starting fluid is as good for your motor as reving it to 4K RPM and sticking a garden hose in the intake. come to think of it that might do less damage.

any way if you want to see if it a fuel problem use CARB cleaner it's cheaper and you wont risk cracking a piston.
