To my fellow dumped Del Sol & Civic Drivers...A few ?'S
Its about that time to turn to start doing things right now that $ is goin good....[No offense to those who have it and it suits them]
I dont mind sittin with negative camber because all I do is cruise for now while im building
ill slap a camber kit on there right before I do tha swap
I dont know to much about good suspension..but I do kno Ebay coilovers and blown stock shocks dont mix...i feel like i have switches
First question...Would it make sense to get new..better brand shocks...struts or better brand coilovers and shocks?
I had cut Eibach springs with blown tokicos on my teal ej1 and I never bounced or bottomed out..Can someone explain??

If your shocks were blown on your ej1, you would have been bouncing up and down like crazy. Judging by your sig, I'm assuming you have a del sol now and you're asking what kind of suspension to get? Well it depends on what you want to use the car for. Lurk around the suspension forum a bit and you'll find your options are 1) a full threaded shock body coilover 2) a well matched shock/spring combo. With option 2, you must get a shock that can handle the spring rates of the spring you choose or you will regret it.

Hmm if you wanna be dumped, go get some H&R race springs, or even some Ground Control's and maybe some Tokico Illuminas? I'm not a suspension guru or anything, someone else chime in, haha.

I have Ground Control's and KYB AGX's on my hatch and it's pretty good for the price, IMO. I'm not sure what your definition of dumped is, but my car is 'slightly' tucking the tops of the tires at the corners and it rides surprisingly well. The AGX's can take much more abuse than people say and their 1.5" drop their warranty claims. I've had them for over two years with no problems at all. And you can get this setup within your budget. I think I paid very close to $500 for mine when I bought it.

For 500 dollars you are not going to get GC's + KYB AGX's or any other adj shock. The GC's alone cost 350-400 and KYB, Tokico, Koni adj's are all over 300+. For 500 you are better off going with KYB/Tokico and some HR race springs like punoy said.
