MY EXHAUST IS WAY TO LOUD
I INSTALLED A STAINLESS HEADER ON MY 98 CIVIC EX. I RAN 2 1/2 INCH PIPE AND INSTALLED A THRUSH GLASSPACK JUST PAST THE HEADER THEN RAN THE 2 1/2 PIPE OUT THE BACK AND ITS WAY TO LOUD. SO NOW I WANT TO INSTALL A PREFORMANCE MUFFLER IN THE ORIGINAL MUFFLER POSITION. IM LOOKING FOR A DEEP RUMBLE WITH LITTLE BACK PRESSURE. I WAS THINKING EITHER FLOW 40 SERIES OR EDELBROCKS NEW RACING MUFFLER. ANY ADVISE WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THANKS

Rather than flaming, lets look past the caps and assume he's asking a legitimate question until there is a real reason to think otherwise.
Now, perhaps we can try to post something helpful...

No, he ran it straight out without a muffler and he is surprised its too loud.
To the OP: You have a lot of options, its all up to preferance. Apexi n1, apexi world sport...maybe something less flashy like an es tuning. Its all up to you.

If it's a stock motor, the cheapest and most reliable route is going to be a stock muffler.
Though I know a few people now who have OEM RSX and 06-07 Si mufflers and are very pleased.

Header, highflow cat, longest resonator the shop has, and a magnaflow race series muffler
I've ran this on all my previous cars and sounds great and totally unrestricted. It's loud too, but not ricey at all.

Whatever goes best with your setup, on a stock motor it needs nothing more than 2.25". Magnaflow mufflers can come with whatever inlet/core you need. The muffler itself is usually like $115 shipped or so and they are clean looking.
Wish I had a sound clip, but I sold my coupe, and I'm leaving my hatch motor stock.

Aww yes, because millions of people dont have Greddy, HKS, Tanabe, Apexi, DC sports or Spoon right?
OP: Try a resonator before you go out and purchase another muffler. Chances are with that glasspack you are going to be loud no matter what unless you change the diameter of your piping and replace the glasspack with a resonator.

You might as well say every muffler is quiet.
Magnaflow has quiet and very noisy exhaust.

Re: MY EXHAUST IS WAY TO LOUD (chris18)
i've got a 97 ex y8 with dc header and 2.5" piping to a Fujitsubo RMO1A. Nice deep tone, not loud at all. has a pretty good rumble on down shift. Look up RMO1A on youtube for soundclips.
