My engine doesnt spark!

My engine doesnt spark!
I have 94 civic EX with a d16z6..
ok so my car doesnt have any spark at all.. well at first, it had a very small one, but that only happened once... then i took apart the distributor and tested the coil.. it passed, but then i checked the Ignition Control Module and it failed, there was no current, so i got a new one, put it on and still there's no spark!
IDK wat else to do, i was looking at the connectors that go on the distributor, there's 2 of them and one is bigger than the other.. well the one thats bigger has some black line on it.. kinda looks like there was a short, and i used a tester to see if there was current running through it, and it only indicated that there was only current for Ground, not Power. however, there was Power running through the smaller connector.. im not sure if thats how its normally supposed to be?
*what could be causing my engine not spark? i really hope that its not the ECU that's bad.. because i dont have that kind of money

Did you check the resistance of the wiring for the distributor to see if there is any broken or shorted wires? Does the car crank?

yea the car cranks and it turns over but there's no spark, i was looking at the connectors to connect to the distributor and the one that's bigger seems to have a short.. it has a black line on the right side, and there is only ground current running through this connector and there is power current running through the smaller connector.. im not sure if thats how its supposed to be

ok check the Blk/yellow stripe wire on the dizzy to see if your getting power from there
and if not just using the same gauge wire, replace and run the new wire straight to the blk/yellow stripe wire under the dash coming from the ignition switch
for some reason these lately have been going out, and since its to much to check the whole wire and every connector just replace the whole thing.

Trace the wires from the inside of the dizzy to the plugs on the outside and see what has power and what doesnt. I had to replace my ICM, but that was onlly after we checked to see that the ICM was getting power and signal from the ECU. You can put a multimeter into the pins and check for signal from the ECU.
I cant tell you which pins to check though, since my harness is OBD2.

ok ill check the wires and will the rotor and cap of an H22 dizzy fit the D16 dizzy?
also, is there a chance that it might be the pick-up coil?

ok ill check the fuse, but I am missing the fuse box cover so there's no telling what fuse belongs to what... does anybody have the diagram that belongs to the fuse box under the dash? I've looked everywhere and can't find it, my car is a 1994 civic EX, d16z6

No none of the h22 parts fit and changeing cap and rotor will not help because ur problem lies somewhere else that black and yellow wire is what powers the dizzy. All lblack wires with yellow stripe on hondas are power leads 99% of the time.

Cap and rotor is the cheapest thing to start with, wouldnt be a bad idea. Even if it isnt the problem, it will be one less problem you will have down the road.
