My Eg DIY air duct. with pictures
im not gonna break down and buy one of the 200 dollar j's racing air duct, so i made my own. Not the prettiest thing , but it gets the job done, i used sheet aluminum that cost like 5 bucks, and then a dryer duct that was 5 bucks, and some rivets.

Definitely paint it black. Looks good otherwise. And your filter looks pretty cruddy!
I was going to do this, but fog lights won!

the stock box would be gettin to dirty to fast... thats the only thing im not feeling and water would be going in the motor more.

in theory it should provide more air to the air intake...
I'm just wondering about the speed of the air and if it will "climb" to the air filter...
if it was sealed then the suction would solve this question

I think that you would be much happier with an cold air intake rather then that, I've been down that route back in the 90's and comparing it to an CAI is no competition.

im in the process of looking for a stock air box assemblie
and it has to do somthing , its gettin colder air (more dense air) up into the engine bay, and cooling it down, rather than sucking in nothing but hot engine bay air..
