is there a downside of grinding that peace that was wearing off the tire?
this is the wear of the tire
this is what it was scraping on.
and i took it all off
is there a downside to that? why was that there? it looked like 2 peaces of metal jointed together

would have been a lot smarter and easier to just tuck your camber in a bit.

I'd say his springs are sagging. I have my car on KYB AGX/ GC coilovers. I have 2 finger gap front, started grinding like his after a few months. The front springs started sagging for some retarded reason and that caused scraping on hard turns/ dips/ etc. Check your springs, probably sagging and need to be replaced. (I know I have to... Teins here I come)
Edit: To verify sagging, look at your springs and see if the blue rubber cover on it is worn off at the top and bottom sides of the coils. If the tops and bottoms are worn out/ look like they've been rubbing that's a good hint of sagging.
