Usually when downshifting for a turn and occasionaly during normal driving. It won't pop all the way out to the middle of H in the shift pattern, but second won't be engaged. It has gotten worse in the past couple of weeks and the only thing I did was unbolt the shift linkage to put a front swaybar on my EK. Does anyone else have this problem and what might a good solution be to fix it?

my 2000 dx had the exact same problem, luckily. the coupe was under warranty. but i remember saying that it was the 2nd gear bracket or synchro. well i know nothin on trannies....

Just hold it in second for those few seconds it's there

mine does it to have to make sure i put it in to second fully and not be lasy. I not sure how to fit it though.

could also be a bent shift linkage

Its your second gear synchro bro. If it was a bent shift linkage or bad motor mount theoretically it would pop out in every gear.

it happens in my civic also, i replaced the 2nd and 3rd gear syncros and i still have this problem. i think it is the shift linkage.
