Default My civic is a pain in the ***.

So I bought the car with like 83k original miles on it. 1 owner carfaxed. All along it turns out the car had a minor leaking headgasket. Before I changed the head gasket I changed:

The radiator, thermo, waterpump, and I must have bled the system many times. After that I gave in and did the head gasket. Turns out it was leaking in cylinder 1. Head looked okay, block looked great. New gasket and were good to go........right?.....

wrong. The car instantly seemed to gain like 10hp from the new head gasket. However it still minorly overheated. Im like wtf?????? I checked all the hoses and it didnt seem like I was leaking anything before changing the head gasket. I pop the hood open and see there is coolant on the left side of the block. Im thinking to myself, if the head was warped, the coolant would be burning off not leaking on the outside of the block.

I find out that my "water inlet" coolant hose was ruptured. I just changed that ****, bled the rad, let the fan kick on like 8 times to make sure to get as much air outta there as possible.

The compression test came back good, so now the car should never overheat again.

What a pain in the ***. Car is in pretty much immaculate condition otherwise for being a 92. I have never seem a cleaner stock car before.

just thought I would share my frustrations with you. Funny thing is I have another 92 LX, that has double the miles at 212k and it has never given me a single problem from 176k
