my VIS hood has a 3/4 inch hood to fender gap!! :(
i had a stock hood it fit perfect so i orderd the VIS cause i was told it fit well. i sold the stock hood now i have the VIS and it doesnt fit for crap look.

that could be for the reason that the fenders are hacked. I would try and flex it lightly into place and get some more play out of the fenders.

that conversion is looking good..........i'm doin mine soon too......i just finish a 99-2000 civic on a crx......anyways one question...are you doin gthe WHOLE front end? like type r radiator etc.....??

first of all is the stock JDM metal hood fits perfect. so there for modifying the fenders has nothing to do with it. the vis hood is the problem and when i bought it i told the guy what it was going on

I have a VIS hood on my '00 EJ8. I have the same gap. Also- where the hood comes down around the front grille, (look at one, you will see what I am talking about) the hood scrapes the painted area around the grille. I think that my VIS hood is shitty. I shoulda bought Fiber Images- but too late.

damn that conversion is badass... ive wanted to do it for a while now.. maybe in the spring.. hopefully ill see your car around the NOVA area cause im always out running around and have seen several nice cars in NOVA recently..

B-Series engine huh? I got the same problems, im going to get hoodpins this weekend. Everyone is going to have the same problem with those types of hoods and a Bseries.

you know how u said ur stock hood fit..... so that mean your talking about your regular civic hood right? can u show me a pic of it on before you put on your CF TYPE R hood??

looks like someone needs to adjust the hood bumpers in order for it to fit correctly 
Talking about those little rubber deals by the head lights....turn them down so the hood sits a little lower.

the hood looks fine...the welding looks gh3tt0 as all hell....that's why it's 3/4" off...that part of the fender wasn't welded on properly

You have to tac weld VERY slowly or the sheet metal will warp like a mother. And he obviously isn't finished welding
Edit- and like I said before, it's your hood bumpers. See how it's an even gap EVEN over the headlights??? Thats because the hood will sit at a different height and those bumpers need adjusting gangstA

i dont have any pics with the steel hood. and the adjusting bumpers dont make it any different. 
. The person with welding comment obviously has never done body work. I spent probably 5 hours with the fitment so Id have a very OE looking front end conversion. then this hood made my work looked jacked up. ***** driven me insane.
