My Car Wont Start!!!
I'm new to this forum...I see this palce a lot and I decided to join. I have a problem with my 1994 Honda Civic EX..the damnc ar wont start!..I was driving down my street in 3rd gear and the car just turned off on me. Friends of mine ahd to help push my car into the apartments we got stranded by. The car cranks like it wants to start but it just wont. We had a mechanic come over but he was drunk off his ***, said the problem was with the control module or the ECU Chip and I went out and bought a new one at autozone...he put it in and the damn car didnt start...i'm getting desperate here...the car did need a mad tune up and an oil change but I first noticed about 2 weeks ago that it would make a funny noise when I would turn it on, like it would stall or something. Please help. He says it's the distributor but I wanna know for sure if I can fix it myself before taking it to a mechanic and dishing out the big bucks..also the ingition coil was un-twisting in an upward position when I took the distributor cap off. Maybe it's the Ignition Coil? The ECU? The Whole damn thing in general? Please help..

check your spark plugs. mine were so fouled up that they would not start one day but i knew i was running really rich so got some new ones and started right up....

Yeah, I had a check up done at a honda dealership where my mom bought her car and they said I had worn spark plugs, that was about 2 and a half months ago...2 weeks ago I noticed the car would kinda "Try harder" to start and then it jsut gave out on me while driving on saturday night

wow -- why not take it back to honda and see what the deal is. Cause i dought its a spark plug problem. distributor or alt- who knows could be anything,

try using some one else main fues relay, they seem to go alot on EG's it controls the fuel pump and tells it to turn on when u crank teh motor, this recently wen out on my 94 EX coupe and my sisters 93 dx coupe....just borrow some ones all are teh same 92-95 and if thats teh problem il sell you an extra one i have that i got from the wrecking yard..i was going to buy mine new but autozone wanted 100 bucks for it
