Default My CAr wont Start

Hi i have a honda civic 1992 and my car turns over but it wont start. It only start when the engine light gose off! We replaced the fuel pump, distributor, fuse's, and it still dosen't start all the time! can you please HELP me!

Pull the ECU fuse from the fusebox underneath your hood for 10-20 seconds and then put it back in. Start your car and let it idle for 5-10 minutes so the ECU can re-learn the idle.

Unplugging the battery is not neccesary. Just pull the ECU fuse. It will reset your ECU. This is part of the diagnosing process. If that doesn't help then you go from there. ALso have someone sit in the car and pull out each spark plug wire one at a time, hold it up to the valve cover and make sure you have spark. It could be a number of things from your coil pack in the dizzy going bad, to an intermitant fuel pump problem.

tap the starter with a long screwdriver to see if that is the problem and or clean the battery connections, corosion is a bitch

the engine itself turns over so the starter is not the prolblem
