Default Is my car in limp mode (99 SI)

For the past 3 months, my cars has been throwing code 65 i think, which is for secondary 02 sensor. Recently i been reading and found out that if you have a cel on a obd2 car the ecu retards the timing and car goes into limp mode hence loosing power.

Can someone please confirm.
Thanks

Certain codes will put the car into limp mode, not every one.

I'm not quite sure which will and which won't but I'm pretty sure that an 02 sensor won't effect it.

If you are in limp mode, you'll know it.

Is there a way to find out if i have any other codes besides this.
I don't wanna buy a sensor for 80 dollars, because i plan to run a hollowed cat on my car.

there is only one way to check for codes if you dont have an OBD2 scanner. Just short the service plug and tranlate the blinks. If there are more then one code, they will replay after eachother with a long pause between them.

Limp Mode SUCKS! I was throwing VTEC solenoid codes when I first installed my V-AFC. It would throw a 22 (I think) and would only rev to 6500 with no VTEC. I have heard that some codes (like the O2 codes) actually retard the timing. But limp mode is very noticeable.

secondary O2 is a passive code and your car runs completely normal, dont worry aobut it. Get a new sensor or get a and ECU and conv harness so your ECU wont look for the wire...

dont run a gutted out cat.. its not worth it.. your going to have stagnant air flow. the exhaust flow is going to lose velocity in your cat and going to circle around in there and its not worth it.. your going to lose power and not to mention a cat. if anything get a test pipe or a high flow cat.

Inspection is the laaaaaaaaaaaast thing on my list.
I can get inspection for my car, while my car is parked in the garage.

I plan to run hollowed cat, with a straight pipe though.
Or just a hollowed cat, and a muffler (tight on money)
