ya i was heading down a 3 lane road, and i had my foot steady on the gas an i was about 50-55mph when suddenly i started deccelerating <_<, so i was like ok wtf and i pushed the pedal harder and the RPM kinda jumped and i gained a little speed but it started slowing down, so i just pulled over at a GMC dealership close by and tryied to crank it up.............no go, everything was working correctly, battery has power, oil is ok to go for another 100miles, and it wouldnt start up, so i got it towed back to honda BTW its a 2000 honda civic ex

MY QUESTION is what the expletive<_< happened ? any info included would be nice and thanks

hmm lets see well id try turning it on and it would just make that annoying noise <_<(sry for lack of better words) and besides once when it started up then died again it just kept making the same noise, and wouldnt start up, umm and idk what a coil pack is

and if it helps when i was cranking it it let out this weird *** smell it was the smell similar to eggs but different some how like a richer smell to it

Some people describe the smell of a bad HG as rotten eggs.

You cat will also make the same smell at times.

Was the car smoking at all before it shut off?

seems like your ignition coil crapped out on you, it happens. it did it to me, my car bogged down and turned off in the middle of the biggest rain storm we had in 10 years. i thought i hydrolocked my motor. check out the ingiton coil inside of the distributor

Yeah dude just have the shop change out the dizzy. It sounds like its the problem.

u dont have to change out the distributor. go to a auto parts store, get a ignition coil from them, might as well get a new cap and rotor, it takes 10 mins to put everything on and taking them off. if thats not the problem, take the ignition coil back.

it most deffinately sounds like the problem though.

ok i just found out whats wrong, timing belts getting ready to go, electrical ignition starter coil or something.

Sounds like someone is trying to screw you. The timing belt will just go. Does not normally give warning.

well maybe his timing belt has cracks in it and the dude is just going him a warning. im thinking iginition coil... but also pop your hood and start check things with a multimeter. do work son...lol
