my car.
ok, so i'm a "trial user" and i figure the only way to get out of being a "trial user" is to post some ****.
some of you may know me from HMT or CSi or other boards. anyways.
my car
1996 Honda Civic Si-G Turbo (some special edition, 70 of 80 produced with limited production honda 15" alloy wheels)
custom 2.5" exhaust
custom 2.5" Test Pipe
custom turbo manifold
TE04H 14G Mitsubishi Heavy Industries turbocharger.
custom 2.75" downpipe.
Second Gen DSM BOV
Upper Strut Bar (front) no-name brand!
Upper Strut Bar (Rear) no-name brand!
Lower Strut Brace (Rear) custom welded stainless alloy.
Tein S-Tech springs (medium rated)
Honda Optional Equiptment aluminum shift ****.
ractive short shifter
Honda / No-Name CF Hood. (i'm not sure, i ordered it from honda when i worked there.)
Autometer Z-Series Boost Gauge (0-30 psi boost 0-30 In.Hg vac)
Autometer Z-Series Oil Pressure Gauge (0-100psi)
Autometer Gauge Works EJ8 gauge bezel (w/2 2-1/16 gauge pods.)
Centerforce Stage 2 clutch.
currently running 2-4psi boost while awaiting injectors and uberdata.
and it's running quite well except for the CEL (which is caused more by not having a cat than boosting)
(i ordered the conversion harness from a H-T sponsor! yay me!)
before next summer i plan to have my intercooler installed (the sale is pending, i just have to go pick it up. it's a starion type FMIC)
i also plan to run an OBD1 ecu chipped with uberdata or if i suddenly get a bunch of cash i'll go to hondata s200b. but meh. i've heard good things about uberdata. should run well with the 440cc injectors.
i'll also end up getting an inline fuel pump. (not a fan of the in-tank suckers)
i also plan to have installed an EGT gauge, (yep, you guessed it, autometer Z-Series)
anyhow, enough boring text, you came for the pictures! i know you did!
here's an old shot of it with the summer wheels all prettied up. (disregard the white sticker on the back, it's no longer there)
an even older one. before the hood.
an older picture yet (this time last year, my ex-gf in the car, my Honda Limited production Alloys on)
and some new pictures (taken right after the turbo install, i hadn't driven it for a week and a half, so that's why theres a shitload of snow on it)
obligatory BLURRY ASSED ENGINE BAY SHOT! heh.
a closeup of the turbo & manifold i made.
more pictures can be found at http://civicevolutions.com/gal...osted
comments welcome.
if you don't like it, kiss my ***, you've got your own car! heh.

Re: my car. (B18C1_Civic_EX)
yeah, i'll make her look pretty after i get her going fast and riding on rails.
thus far, all cosmetic upgrades have been a condition of circumstance more than anything. the CF hood for example, my roomate backed his bigassed jacked up yota into my car and his hitch went through my stock hood, so he bought me the CF hood.
the shift **** was a gift from my ex gf.
the wheels however were bought first and foremost, as most ricers start out. heh, atleast i had the sense to weigh them and put z rated tires on. heh.

Re: (STN_Pat)
Looks good.
The wheels were optional in the US too, in 99 and 00 for sure, maybe 96+ though.
Looks kinda like a Turbo'ed HX with the optional wheels. Whats the engine code?

Re: my car. (blackhatchy)
heh, they're not photochopped. just really shiny compared to the rest of the car.
the factory ones are for the special edition, 1996 civic Si. (i can't read the name on the plaque, i'll post it when i get back from my road trip) i'm sure they were optional somewhere, but they came with this edition. i like the way the 17"s look, so i'm probably not going to ditch them, i've got the 15"s if i go to the track.
the engine code is D16Y8. i thought most of you guys knew that the rest of the world calls the EX an Si-G, and the Si is actually an SiR, ah well, anyways cdn Si = usdm EX. SOHC VTEC 1.6 litre. hydraulic transmission, bla bla bla. it's the same kitten.

Those 17's are hideous. Other than that it looks good. Also maybe paint the side molding unless you are gonna get some dark colored wheels.
