Are my brake lines busted?
95 civic dx stock brakes.
So today was a nice day and I decided to change my timing belt and leaky water pump... after it took me an hour to get the crank shaft bolt off it took me 5 more hours to finish the job... so i take my car out for a drive after it warms up and everything looks good... right? wrong.
This guy in a hatch made a left on my and I slammed on my weak brakes... they are gone now... Its dark i have not been able to check if something exploded....
Has anyone slammed on the brakes and lost them?
Brakes need to be changed very low.
thanks

Re: Are my brake lines busted? (deoexmacchina)
what do you mean gone?
if you step on the break but it sinks down, it's a bad break cylinder. And, persay if only 1 or 2 of your breaklines are gone (given they're both front, or rear) the opposite side breaks should apply.
if you just have a little more play room before your breaks apply maybe your pads are running thin? possibly need more fluid?
these are just a few things off the top of my head, but be a little more specific

I couldn't brake the whole way back home...
I squished it down and nothing happened felt as if there was a hair of resistance but went all the way down.... I am going to check in the morning for leaks I stop under a lamppost to see if i left a trail but there was nothing... I will have to check in the morning
I guess this means you can't run your brakes this low??

i recently only did it once. got the car in march. did a rear disc conversion last 2 months ago .
had a little mishap recently (2 weeks ago) and had to slam on my brakes. i recently just checked. my brake cyclinder/booster are leak free.
