Re: my black 2000 si (lilmoney145)
Get the +40 offset.
Get shocks/springs or shocks/coilovers or full coilovers (come with shocks.
Springs are just gonna drop you a certain height, no adjustment, coilovers you can obviosly raise or lower your car to your favortite place, and full coil overs are just an expensive way of doing the same thing.
About how low: Depends on your needs. I had my car about 3 inches on my coil overs, and now it's back up to stock for the winter (love that part). I had camber out the ***, but I loved it beeing so low. A 2 inch drop is probably more resonable. You can slam then to 4 inches but you'll have crazy problems. That's your decision.
The AEM CAI will MAYBE get you 1-2 Hp vs. the short ram. The short ram is much louder, and you won't have to worry about sucking in water with the short ram.
Any more questions just ask.

Re: my black 2000 si (EpDarks)
Don't forget about tires.
I'd reccomend some nice summer tires, and putting your stock wheels with stock tires back on for winter. Probably a 205-215 width, nothing more though.
Incase your wondering about full coil-overs, they are the best answer if your hardcore into handling and performance in general. Tien are my personal favorite, but many other companys make them.
Shocks: I have Tokico's, about average shock. Good ones are Konis, AGX's come to mind as well.
Good springs include H+R, Eibach, Spoon, Mugen, Neuspeed, prob a ton more too.
Sorry I have nothing better to do.

so what type of coil overs should i get? i was leaning more toward springs, what type of springs would you recommend? also what kind of tires, i will be using them as a daily driver and for draging, dont wanna buy slicks yet since i barely got my car.

I have a 99 Civic and also have C8's on them. Look nice. the offset for 15's are +38, but 16's would probably look a lot better since the offset is a bit more.
I would give it a 2 inch drop, not too low and not too high. But in the end, it's up to you. Coilovers would work a lot better since you can adjust. i would go for skunk2 coilovers or tein. they both work great.
good luck!
