Icon2 MY AC blows warm

When i was buying a car i was specifically looking for one that had air conditioning due to the fact of just moving from washington state to hot *** south carolina so i pick up a 95 civic ex with air conditioning but like a dumb *** i forgot to make sure it worked i pushed the button heard the ac come on and then just turned it off the problem is it doesnt get cold at all it basically feels like i just slide the temp gauge on the dash all the way to cold and had the ac off and turned it on you know kinda like a pretty warm air that should be cold i have tried to recharge it, its fully charged. what else could it be?

Does the condenser fan run? Does the compressor clutch engage? Does the A/C button light turn on when the button is pressed?

yes the fan comes on idk if the compressor clutch engages where would you look for that and yes the light turns on when the button is pressed im guessing i would look if im looking at the motor to the front right of the header like right behind the driver side headlight and what would it look like when its engaged
thx

With the engine running and the A/C off, the faceplate (clutch) on the compressor should NOT spin with the pulley.

With the engine running and the A/C on, the faceplate on the compressor should spin with the compressor pulley whenever the condenser fan runs.

Before recharging with refrigerant, was the system empty? Or did you recover, evacuate, and then recharge the system?

The clutch/faceplate should only engage (spin with) the pulley when the A/C is on. Double check that.

How much refrigerant did you add? It's very unwise to add refrigerant to a system before measuring refrigerant pressure on both the high and low sides using a manifold gauge set with the A/C running. Without this information, you don't know whether the system is full or has air in it or another problem. Diagnose first, then repair.

Hook up a manifold gauge set and measure the high and low side pressures with the A/C on and the engine at 1500 rpm.

im sure it does but idk how i dont get that i guess i didnt think it had anything to do with the ac

If your engine is overheating, the A/C won't work as efficiently. Did you measure the refrigerant pressures?

Check to see if the belt is attached to the A/c Compressor and that its not worn or not frayed.

These^ look like static pressures. Was the engine idling at 1500 rpm with the A/C on (condenser fan running and clutch engaged) during this pressure test?

Let the A/C run for 10 minutes on max blower speed and recirc before taking the pressure readings. Also note the outside temp when the test was done.
