My 98 Civic coupe ex - Need pointers to upgrade the car
 

I just got a used 98 civic ex coupe with 185K. It doesn't look like any work has been done to it, so I was wondering if you guys could give me pointers to upgrade the car. (I'm pretty novice about things with cars.)

Why dont you start with learning how to change oil, tranny fluid, and filters. While you are doing your business under the hood you will start to notice things that could improve.

For example while changing your fuel filter you may notice your valve cover is dirty and looks ugly. You may decide to paint it ...stuff like that...

eventually you get more comfortable with working on it and you move on to bigger projects

There's a sticky at the top of the forum called "building your dream car 101"
I suggest that you read the whole thing. After doing just about everything in the sticky, which will help you out more than ebay over the course of your build. I'd start to read other people's build threads and see what they've done, and saving up money for a while too. Look up how your car works, if only to get a basic knowledge of what everything is under your hood.
Also, I'm not a mod, but this isn't the forum to ask what you should do to upgrade your car... It's a tech forum. I know a few others who get really annoyed when people post threads like this.
