My 95 Ex Coupe Build Thread
Ok Heres The Story:
I recently owned a 2006 Honda Civic Sedan Ex. And I decided I wanted to get out of car payments. So my step father offered to buy my 06 and buy me a car. And I decided to go with a 95 Ex Coupe. The car was purchased by a friend out of a junk yard. with a blown head gasket. And I decided to play with it. And do my own thing. I said screw the D16Z6 and decided to buy the car and do an LS B18B1 swap. Heres some of the progress. I'll have more pictures coming soon.
This is the car before the swap. Still had the D16Z6 in it. With the head removed. Already sitting on Tokico Fully Adjustable Suspension.
This is the tiny D16 that was in it. Lol..
And complete emptiness...
And the B18B1 payed 450.00 for the entire swap. And sold the D16 for 400. So I only payed $50.00 for the entire swap for the LS. That included: Motor, Tranny, Axles, ECU, Motor mounts, Shift linkage and everything.
We started the swap at 1:00pm and had the old motor out and new motor in by 4:00pm the same day. And running.
Not the prettiest motor. Or car. But give it time. And I'll have it looking good. Taking the motor out this summer and hitting it with a sanding block and a polisher. And I'm gonna polish the entire block and intake manifold aswell as the valve cover.
I'll have progress pictures up as I go.

Re: My 95 Ex Coupe Build Thread
I'm using the stock D16 radiator for right now. But I am soon ordering either a Fluidine or a Mishimoto
And no we don't mess around man. Lol.. I never even drove the car with the D16 in it. I just baught the LS and had it dropped in the next day. Lol.. I hate having stuff laying around. If it's in my possesion it's going on.

Re: My 95 Ex Coupe Build Thread
it took me and a buddy 11 hours to swap a blow b20 out for another b20..
except we had to switch the IM, tranny, etc to the new one.. and we spent about an hour smashing the old b20 with a sledgehammer

Re: My 95 Ex Coupe Build Thread
thats pretty quick. took myself two day to do a swap, by myself..
ofcourse, I also did an auto to manual swap. since I hydrolocked the d16z6 motor.
the b series only cost me 150 just for the block. (yeah craigslist)
