My 2000 Honda Civic EX 4dr
This is my first car, and it's a 2000 Honda Civic EX 4dr. Bought it used from the 2nd owner, with 145,000 miles on it. Bought the hubcaps you can see (cheap, aftermarket ones), because it was missing one of the originals.
(I apologize for the picture, I was too lazy to pull out of the garage and try and take good pictures, haha.)
I was just looking for opinions on it, and the list of things I want to eventually do to it:
1. Buy an OEM muffler (first owner must've put an aftermarket one on, it's super loud and annoying)
2. Install subwoofers (already posted a topic about doing it.. gonna try it myself soon)
3. Fix dent in front right fender (might be able to see it in photo, right in front of the wheel from previous owner.)
4. Paint it a new color. I'm thinking dark red or dark green, since the interior is tan.
5. Buy some clean looking wheels.
6. Are there OEM spoilers for this model? I was hoping to get a clean looking spoiler.
Thanks!

sweet four door.
I know it can be frustrating when no one replies.
You don't have to go back to the stock exhaust
just get a nice quite one, like a apex'i ws2, tanabe medalion touring, or a greddy sp2
you'll like the sound of them I'm sure.

Thanks for the reply and advice. Ill look into those mufflers, one with a bit of tone would be nice. However, I am definitely on a budget.. Need a muffler under $100

you must not be into the speedy civic type,
no offense but everything you said in your first post sounds like your in your 40s looking for an economy car.
thats not a bad thing though

check out ebay.
just type in 96-00 oem civic and you could find alot of good used items. Shipping on a few items are way too much. i think. and for exhaust i would HIGHLY recommend a Civic Si exhaust. from the FD FG series. I have one on mine and it sounds quiet and somewhat of a v6 exhaust.
goodluck.

Re: My 2000 Honda Civic EX 4dr
Sorry about wrong forum placement, wasn't sure.
So I discovered that the reason my exhaust is so loud is because it actually has a stock muffler, which has rusted out so its pretty much just empty metal. I was wondering about what kind of muffler would sound better. Would something like this be pretty quiet?

Bump.. that's a cheap muffler, so I'm still wondering what you guys think.. I bet it'll be really loud/low quality, just wondering.

Re: My 2000 Honda Civic EX 4dr
Thanks man I'll be buying an OEM muffler soon, and the parts I need to install my new head unit/subwoofer should be here Tuesday. Then I may be on the lookout for front/rear lips, and a rear window visor. Making progress!
