My 1/4 Mile Times :(
I went to moroso for the second time this week and I did an 18.1 @ 76mph again, Last time I went i did 18.5 @ 76mph. Am I just a bad driver or is it that my car is really slow???
My reaction time was .580
I have a 1996 HX with Intake, Headers, and muffler.
What times should I be doing with this setup???

they seem slow to me, but I do hear that the HX tranny has terrible gearing, so you might wanna try to get a hold of an Si (92-95) or EX tranny.

new motor really is the only way to go. i don't know much about the tranny but i'm sure it blows. the 92-95 cx could go like 130 at redline in 3rd - probably a lot like it.

18's are rediculous... My friends Hyundia Accent runs 17.4's bone stock on heavy *** 16" rims... You've got to be doing something wrong...

You have to be doing something wrong. That is a terrible time, no offense. I have heard of people pulling off much better times than 18's. You didn't skip a gear did you?

I think they're might be something wrong with your HX though, cus you have more hp than my DX and I ran 16.50 bone stock. Only mods where 16" wheels and tires...stock everything else.

sorry bro, welcome to the club. my EX auto ran an 18.1 with just intake and my subs in...added catback exhaust and took subs out...18.6. dont ask why or how because I dont know.

i have the CX tranny on my Si. it is nice doing 87mph in 2nd..redline and i've only gone 129 in 3rd, damn near close to redline, so far. people said acceraltion would be slower, but not really. it gets to 110mph quick, then takes forever to climb. my car ran a 16.1 with just basics installed. i was happy. then i heard the Si tranny would only put it at 15.8.
