My 00si at the track
Well, I finally took my Si to the track. First off I have to say I saw a couple other si's at the track and none of the even broke into the 15's. My only mods are comptech icebox(stock arm) and k&n filter, h&r sport springs, and a new set of Yokohama es100's(26psi) car has 26k for mileage. Nothing removed. First run was 15.8, best run:
60' 2.412
1/8 10.135
1/4 15.641
mph 87.94
I am going to pull off p.s and a/c belt, remove spare tire, and lower tire pressure some. If I do this and get a better 60' I should be able to knock off a couple tenths. I will have some updates in a week or so. overall I am happy though

No it's not, even with stock tires and no mods you should be able to hit 2.20 all day long in an SI. A long time ago when my 00 ex had just i/h/e i was able to pull 2.1's on the stock 185/65/14 firestones that came on the car. Turbo'd (which i thought was actually harder to launch) i pulled consistent 2.1's to 2.20's on 205/50/15 kumho 712's and 1.8 on 20" e.t. drags.
Practice makes perfect, try not to dump it so hard on street tires. You have to launch with about 50-75% throttle and feather the clutch till it hooks up before you go WOT or else you'll just spin off the line.
