my 00 si won't start, please help!
I have a fully built b16a in my civic. Everything is pluged up and it won't crank over. The starter has juice, fuel pump is working, all grounds are connectedand a brand new battery in there. When i turn the key the pump primes but won't crank. All relays and fuses are fine. It has a p28 ecu in it tuned my jeff evans. Any help would be great, thanks!

If the motor will not crank, it is usually a problem with the starter. If that is fine, check the connections at the battery terminals.

take a jumper cable and jump the tranny to the chassis. I had the same problem and somehow the tranny ground failed. If it starts up once you ground the tranny with a jumper cable, then wire up a new tranny ground and you are good to go.

Re: (professor poon)
i think we tried that we took a ground wire and tried to hot wire the starter. When we did that the starter cranked but real slow like it sounded dead.

1. i agree check the ground.
2. If the injectors have been sitting for a while try tapping them with a wrench while someone cranks the ignition.
3. check your timing

Make sure the wire to the starters' actuator is hooked up. I think it is a black wire with a white stripe. Connects with a spade connector.

Dude, it's not even cranking. What good is screwing with the fuel and timing if it won't even crank? Fix the starter.

Re: (superg6819)
It cranked, it was bondo on the trans ground. I hit a crub last year and the body shop bondoed there, duh! Were gonna set the timing later today and hope it goes well.
