my 00 si stolen in orange county
I've owned the car for a little over two years now and i never thought i'd be making a thread like this.
It happened about two weeks ago at around 1 in the morning on a saturday night. My dad and I were inside watching t.v. in the front room of our house when we heard my car taking off down the street (It was very loud, I had a Buddy Club Spec 2 on the car). We run outside and the car was gone but I could still here it as it turned onto the main road from my complex. I grabbed the keys to my dad's truck to go chase after him as I called the police but I wasn't able to find him.
Three days later I got a call from a detective in LA saying that my car had been found and that it was towed to a towing yard in LA.
The next day I went to go pick it up and it was a sad sight but surprisingly not as bad as i had expected. The thief had stolen my coilovers (Tein Basics) along with my CD player, badges, and a few smaller miscellaneous things. The car was not driveable so I had to get it towed back to my house in Orange County where it sits now in my garage.
Here's some pictures as she sat when i first bought her. (I don't have any more recent pictures).

Re: (Astheros)
ha yeah i've been using my friends account up until now.
And thanks I'm definately planning on rebuilding it. I've been through too much with this car to just let it go now.
the interior is gonna be the hard part though. I have no idea what the guy even did. The steering column is all F'ed up, wires are cut, gonna be an electrical nightmareee

You're extremely lucky
First for owning that clean car!
And for actually getting it back after theft. What security mods where in it? And good luck on the rebuild!

Re: (jdmeg6118)
I didn't really have any security at the time
It used to have some alarm system that came with it when i bought the car but it was all screwy so I had uninstalled it with plans of getting a new one.
I know it sounds bad but at the moment I wasn't too worried about it because it was parked in front of my house and I was still awake at the time.
Lesson learned though, once i get it back on the streets the first thing its getting is beefed up security. Any suggestions on what I should get?

I'd say get a denver wheel boot. I can't believe the thief stole your car right in your driveway. At least you have your car back.

never ask secuirty questions here, people just throw out random
read the stickys in the audio/security/video section if u truly are concerned about security

put it this way, he parks his car at the entrance of my buddy's complex so he doesnt have to scrape over all the speed bumps.

wow the guy who stole your car must feel great, taking a risk stealing a car over just a CD player and some coilovers...WOW that guy is smart. I am gonna put him as number #1 on my list of cool people because the economy is so broke these days that people can't afford to buy a cd player or coilovers, so they just steal cars for stickers and accessory's.
