Default Mushyyy-feeling clutch, need some advice!!

I have a gsr ej6 and have been noticing lately that the clutch could use sone work... Im just not sure what kind. The pedal has some play that it did bot have when i bought the car 2 months ago, and the entire action of the clutch goes down in the last 10 percent of the pedal release, as in i barely have to push it in at all for the clutch to be totally engaged. However, the clutch and exedy stage2 flywheel grabs HARD, and is definetly on the newer side. Its just hard to slip the clutch out smoothly due to the short release point on the pedal. Its my first stick car and i thought it just might need to be bled but one of my friends said it could be air in the line... Any thoughts for a solution? Thanks!

I have not tried anything yet... My friend told me that its possible all i had to do to fix the issue was releasing some built up pressure in the calipers/lines by loosening a bolt/valve on the calipers. Ring a bell? I havent actuAlly pulled the wheels off to look but that just sounds too easy...

Try bleeding the clutch. Don't know why your friend is thinking of the calipers, the brakes and clutch are two seperate systems. You do not need to pull the wheels off.

BTW, you should pick up a Haynes manual for your car, well worth the 20 bucks.

With a new(er) clutch and properly working clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder that are correctly bled of air, you should not have to push the clutch pedal very far to release the clutch. Half way at most and it shouldn't feel mushy.
