Default mushy clutch in eg

Hey folks.. just a thought to run through you guys..

My brother-in-law has an EG si, and before his b16a, his clutch pedal was mushy and really soft.. now with his b16a, it's even softer.

I'm thinking clutch master cylinder, ?? we've gone through 1/2 a bottle bleeding the damn thing.

any suggestions?

well, both engines responded with a mushy clutch pedal.. i don't think the actual clutch plate nore pressure plate has anything to do with this.. but he's still running a stock b16a clutch/pressure plate..

is the clutch fork properly lubed? is everything properly bleed? did you try both methods of bleeding (like bleeding brakes, and then a method called reverse bleeding?), is there any clutch drag? is it slipping? check the whole system for leaks, could also still be air in the line man i have had some cars that did not want to bleed for the life of them i swear to god i just wanted to quit doing it but you gotta stick with it, but check everything i said and get back to me.

Before we swapped in the b16a, the old d16 had the same issue.. then after the swap.. the clutch pedal was still the same if not mushier(?).... the clutch doesn't slip, nor does it drag.. but the pedal is just really mushy.. kinda like your brakes when it's going out.. or the mc is going bad.. there's no "woosh" sound like you'd hear from a brake mc.. just the same type of feel.

we've bled the damn thing for hours.. try after try.. driven it. cooled it.. bled it.. drove it.. same ****.

I don't think it'd be a fork issue because it did the same thing with two different engine/tranny setup. any confirmed concensus that it's the c-mc?
