My friend has it installed on his 99 Si. The tip sits slightly inside the rear lip, and is pretty stealthy. The way the tip curves inward makes it stand out. Excellent balance between quiet low-mid throttle exhaust noise, and beautiful vtec. I give it the

I paid 350 for my twin loop used and have not recieved another modified exhaust ticket in 1 year and 7 months.
Its not loud and gets the job done. It's not as annoying as my Nvidia n1 styled exhaust.

the Mugen twin loop in one the best mufflers I have heard on an EK.
The price is quite high, but you get the amazing quality. You will get respect with genuine mugen parts yo.

its a good muffler, i have it on my 00 Si; it's really quiet before vtec, sounds excellent in it. After I got custom piping with a high-flow cat put on it became noticably louder. worth the money in my opinion. my friend has a spoon on his EK with a test pipe and its hella loud.

I agree! I have a friend that has one installed on his 92 hatch, and it sounds excellent, not to "loud" and "twangy/raspy". As for the numbers or any HP/power gains, he hasn't tuned his car yet, so I can't vouch for the performance aspect of the muffler, a question that will soon, if not already, pop up on this thread...just my 2 cents...

new price is rediculous but used they are about 400. I got blocked in where cops were giving tickets for everything and I made it out with my mtl ticketless.

the prices vary - from around $475 for a coupe to $685 for a hatch I bought the MTL for my hatch about 2 years ago & I am still happy with it
heres a pic of my mugen
Hytech makes their own version...for less (plus its 2.5" all the way through - where as mugens TL is 2.33 on the loop portion ) but it doesn't have the nice tip - here is a link to snail's hytech twin loop https://honda-tech.com/zero...otice he had problems with the fitment of the hangers & the loop section drops below the bottom of the bumper

What about the DC Sports TL? I haven't heard anything about it, even after searching, so I ended up with an RS*R EX Mag instead.

I have a Mugen with RS*R midpipe and it sounds really nice. Very quiet at idle and cruise and subdue'd and a bit throaty at wot.
Edit: At idle the car is as quiet as stock. This morning I was standing by my car eating my breakfast while waiting for it to cool down and a co-worker was talking to me for like 5 minutes, when I reached in and turned my car off he was like: "your car has been running this whole time?" I then went on to explain about cooling the turbo and blah blah, but the point is that he couldn't hear it idling

sorry maybe I should make it more clear. I bought a used and then later resold my mtl for 450. this was for a hatch and also had a custom b pipe. my custom b pipe was very well made and the exhaust tone was normal.

And the spoon axle back isn't overpriced at all right?
My suggestion, as usual for an exhaust system is the RS*R Ex-Mag GTII. That is if you don't mind being loud.
Here is a picture of it next to the stock civic exhaust. It is an under axle design so it is very straight.
And here is a link to the RS*R website where the exhaust is displayed, with pictures of it on several different vehicles.

somone interseted in the mtl might not want the rsr since the main attraction to the mtl was how quiet it is. at least for me it was.

RS*R also makes an exhaust system similar to the Greddy SP. Looks somewhat stock, it is quiet, and it sounds great when you get on it.
