The p28 ecu is off of a 92-95 sohc civic vtec. I can get it chipped for you its 175 and since your local in LA theres no shipping charge. Im located in socal. Let me know if you are interested.

You have choices when it comes to "chippin." You can raise or remove the rev limiter, raise or remove the governor. You can change your vtec crossover point. Usually, chipping optimizes fuel mapping and with the P28, you can chip it to run DOHC VTEC engines, perfect for hybrids.

A P28 comes out of 92-95 OBD-1 cars, and 96-98 OBD-2 cars. But the ECU that everyone chips is the OBED-1 P28 out of a 92-95 Civic EX or Si car. The Mugen program is the "JDM N1" circuit spec chip that is used on JDM Civics... 5700 VTEC x-over and 9200 rpm rev-limiter... all other "custom" modifications are done with a Hondata or any other type or emulation program and is NOT a true Mugen program.

Personally, I think the JUN program is better than the Mugen program.... better fuel mapping and it pulls harder & smoother in VTEC with the JUN P28 program than the Mugen P28 program.... I carry all 3 main P28 programs... Mugen, Skunk2, and JUN. Believe it or not, the Mugen coding and Skunk2 coding is basically the same thing... I've torn both apart and looked at the coding. But JUN is different and IMO, much better for all-motor applications.... already tested in a few cars that I've chipped (which I do... cheap too ) Not really anyone has the JUN program since it's pretty rare, but I've been selling a few here & there lately.... my friends who used to be running Mugen P28 are now JUN P28.

the p28 is a good ecu for those people running ls/vtec , it eliminates the knock sensor that the ls blocks dont have.
