I think it depends on what the car looks like. Should post a picture.

Depends on the car and depends on the lip you're interested in.

except he'd have to change his bumper. Might as well go for the 96-98 OEM Rear Lip

Speaking of which, have you gotten those brackets blueprinted yet?

yup! so if your willing to do that much work then go for it.. but if not, just stick with the stock rear lip..

Or just get mud flaps they're easier to find.. i think you can get them on ebay..

mud flaps, unless you find an oem rear lip (very hard to get). Ebay ones are really a hit or a miss in terms of fitment and quality.

Kind of. They're taken, I was just trying to edit / clean them up on my comp. I told Amy though that someone else might be better for the job as I've got alot going on lately.

It's cool, just a little disappointing to hear "I'll get them tomorrow." like four times. Completely understand having a busy schedule. Amy worked like 18 days with one day off in between. I've been working 50 hours a week to compensate other employees leaving. So yeah, just get them to us whenever you can.

Even the unedited ones would be somewhat helpful. I've got tomorrow off, so if you can get them to either her or me tonight in SOME form, I'll be able to get them to a machine shop tomorrow afternoon.

Yes, it was offered for 1998 Civic EX's only (as part of a full lip-kit package).

A lot of assbags break the brackets off and use double-stick tape to put them on the 99-00 bumper .... hence the conversation above. Shorty is being kind enough to make blueprints of the brackets so my girlfriend can get her lip on.

No. A 96-98 tapers differently at the bottom than the 99-00, they are NOT the same.

Not at all.

Here's the interchangeability rundown:

96-00 Civic 3dr bumpers = ALL SAME [All lips fit all years]
96-98 Civic 2/4dr bumpers = ALL SAME [Lip fit both bodies]
99-00 Civic 2/4dr bumpers = ALL SAME [Lip/valence fit both bodies]

96-98 bumper fits on 99-00 body [and vise versa]

Do the Civic Type R come as a coupe?

No, it won't fit. Only the stupid "Type R Style" parts will fit. The lip you are talking about is modeled after the 99-00 Civic USDM optional lip.
