MSD Tach Adapter???
What up H-T..Happy New Year to all the members.. My questions is...I am running the MSD 6 ignition box and external coil but can't get my car to run? I did some research on their site and it mentions that "some" imports may need a Tach Adapter..MSD PN 8910. It doesn't mention a specific vehicle though. I have a 96 Civic w/B16 turboed..did anyone else need this part to run this type of set up or am I wasting $$ by getting this? This was a complete rebuilt and can't get this damn thing to run.. TDC and timing completly rechecked, getting fuel, spark(that's why I'm stumped..all 3 of the main ingredients there) all hoses and plugs checked?? Any other suggestions?? Thanks H-T

well i hate msd, mine always would expletive up. check the ohms on the coil. you dont need the tach adapter unless you want to hook up your 5in tach.

Have you tried throwing the stock coil back in or by-passing your MSD box (run just the external coil) to see if it'll start?

Re: MSD Tach Adapter??? (Dagul)
I haven't because I don't have the stock coil..it would be one more thing to buy. I know that I'm getting spark though?? So what gives? Thanks for the replies though...

Since you don't have the stock coil, just bypass your ignition box and run just the external coil and see if it'll start. If it does, then you know something is wrong with the way you have your ignition box wired or there could be something wrong with the unit itself...
