MSD spark plug wires not fitting MSD Cap

MSD spark plug wires not fitting MSD Cap
So, I bought MSD plug wires, and an MSD Extreme OEM cap..however the boot fitting to go onto the MSD cap does not fit, as the wires have the fittings for the Honda OEM dist. cap. Is it as easy as pulling off the old fittings and using a vise to put the new covers on (that were furnished with the MSD Cap) by using the crimp tool?
