Re: MSD set up help!!!
I don't think you HAVE to have it...but I would just go ahead and get it anyways...you can get them for like 150 on ebay....
What it does...
Converts your single spark distributor , to a multi- spark distributor. In other words each time your distributor sends an electrical pulse to the spark plug, the msd box creates several pulses instead of one to that sparkplug, which causes a more efficient burn in the cylinder, which in turn gives you more power. My recommendation would be to go with a msd 6AL as this box has a rev limiter in it with interchangeable chips that control max rpms.

with what he has you can install that without a box. the SCI or 6AL boxes are a totally different ignition set up. the blaster coil is just a stronger coil then stock. MSD's website has the instructions on how to install the. they are very easy to install. u remove ur old internal coil from inside the distributor + and -. then run those wires to the blaster coil very simple....

i just got a good deal on msd stuff, got it half installed. if it is not raining tomorrow i will finish the install. you need msd's rotor and cap on a d16z6 so you have the additional hookup for the coil. you have to uninstall the stock coil pack too though... its on the dizzy.

Re: MSD set up help!!!
i used a coil bracket and bolted it in where the stock airbox used to bolt in. my coil is like 6 inches from my dizzy and its nipple is pointed right at it. btw i got it all installed the way the instructions say and it doesnt work. need to test the coil out and troubleshoot it with msd. called them and the only guy that knows anything about honda was out. that was weeks ago and he still has not returned my call.
i should note though that my install is a little more indepth. i'm adding a msd 5200 to the equation not just the blaster coil, cap, and rotor.

Don't forget you will need to set the ignition timing.
Don't leave the blaster hanging, that is a ****ing hack.
Seems you like throwing money away.

Someone is obviously spending money on an internet connection for you to use. 5 seconds on Google will give you an install write-up for the MSD systems. I'd bet with 15 seconds of searching, you can even find the install instructions straight from MSD!
