MSD HELP PLS
I want to remove my msd. its useless. I dont have a box and all i have is the Can hooked onto my chasis. black wire is gone to ground on chasis.
red wire is run and connected to a pink wire which runs into the dizzy.
I take the cap off and rotor screw out. I cant seem to get the ****ing rotor off. its like STUCK and superglued there or something. i tried prying with flatehad screw driving and it wont budge i just end up cracking the housing in various places.... WTF !@?!
wtf is holding the rotor on. i dont get it, i wanna burn the peice of ****.
i cannot change cap.rotor cause of this issue and the msd bullshit cause the wire runs threw the cap. The cap is a garbage seethrew cap and its corroded to **** and almost falling off. i need to replace it. so i order a civic cap n rotor and the cap doesnt seem to have that extra prong in them iddle that connects it to the msd can for power.
so.... my problem is with the msd on i cannot change the cap and rotor.
and if i were to take the msd off what do i need? i can get the cap off but not the rotor. **** sakes..
even when i get the rotor off and the housing, do i need to replace the coil internally? is there even one there since the msd can is poweing it? what is the pink wire wired into and how do i make this **** stock again?
also any ideas on how to get the damn rotor off ?

Re: MSD HELP PLS
there is a screw that holds the rotor button on. thats is pretty simple. dont know why yours wont pop off. with the msd ignition the stock coil is not needed so you need to your coil back in if its not in there. The extra plug on the outside of the cap is located on the inside on your stock cap because the coil connects internally to it.

the 4 plug wires plug into the dizzy like normal
but the one coming from the msd can is #5 one thats not there without an msd seytup
i cannot put a stock dizzy cap on because there is no HOLE to plug the 5th wire into on the stock cap.
the msd cap i have on now has a metal thing coming out of the center of the cap to put a wire on. if this wire isnt on the car doesnt run.
so i cant use stock cap with the msd setup cause there isnt enough connections..
THEN I cant get the msd off and unwired to get teh stock cap to work because number one i cant get the rotor off and even if i do i dont know if the coil is in there still to rewire **** back to stock or not.
how much is a stock coil at honda and do i need replace the icm too?
OR anyway i can get the metal peice out of the msd cap and cut a hole in the stock cap and put it in?
idunno im stumped i dont know which cap to order/...

Re: MSD HELP PLS
well today i went at it again, and at first I wish I didint.
I took the cap off and unpluged the wire running threw the cap to the inside so i culd move it away for more working room.
Turns out the coil is still inside and they have the negative wire running from the external coil(msd can on chasis) too a wire harness and the positive running intothe dizzy pluged in. two black/yellow wires r unhooked inside from factory.
i took pics, ill upload tmw.
Anyway heres the funny part. i use wd40 and i used everything known to man to get that rotor off and boy was it hard. It looks like it has never been changed all corroded etc.
Anyway i culdnt get it off so had to break it off and all was left was the metal ring inside all plastic has been beat off and pried off..
No way wuld this metal peice come off.
I had to take the grinder to it and cut it on both sides completely threw and beat it off with a chisel and hammer.
then i filed up the rod and put the new rotor on and screw and everythings fine now.
also took sand paper to the corroded contacts inside the old cap and reused it since i dont have an msd cap.
Can i jus order a MSD cap by itself? and if so can i do it from honda? or where do i go
