MSD distributor cap and external SS coil
hello...
I also just bought this set... and before i install it i got a few question...
1. would it affect my timing?
2. how hard is it to install?
3. should i replace the seals?
4 is there any performance gains?
5. opinions on this upgrade?
Thanks
Carlos

Re: MSD distributor cap and external SS coil (warchieft2k)
1. I dont think it affects timing...pretty sure it doesnt
2. Its easy to install, just have to mount the coil
3. not sure
4. Youre not going to gain even 5 hp on this mod, but it makes it run a lot of better and you might be able to fill it a tad. Should run a lot smoother and the fuel will burn better.
5. Its a good upgrade, Im hoping you also got new/bigger wires as well.

Re: MSD distributor cap and external SS coil (sasser43)
1. You waisted your money.
2. It does absolutely nothing,
3. You waisted your money.
4. None what so ever.
5. The crappy coil adapter will get loose and fall off when your driving on the highway and cause your engine to have disastrous misfires.
6. Putting a blaster coil on a stock ignition is totally worthless.
7. MSD ignition boxes will burn up after a few thousand miles and will get you stranded on the highway with disastrous misfires and a melted catalytic converter.
Other then that, good luck
