Icon2 MSD 6AL ,worth it??

I've searched on here and haven't found anything telling how much of an
advantage it would be to use a MSD 6AL ignition box. I already have the
box but, i would want to get a coil and cap for the exteral coil of course.
My question is, would it be worth it to put on my D16Z6? I have I/H/E but
the engine is stock, if that makes much of a differance.

to my understanding, the 2 step is a add-on to a ignition box.
i believe with the 6AL you plug the 2 step into where the
rev limit plug goes in on the side , but not a 100% sure.

the stock ignition system does the job pretty well. unless you like to build it for the track, boosting, or both with a motor swap its better off left alone. i think the 6AL does work that way. i had the SCI version which didnt come with that option but sold it since the extra juice fried my ignition wires a couple times.

the 6al has a soft touch rev limiter. you get a 2 step module and the rpms you want your first and second step set at, for instance when i was using mine with just the 2 step, low side was 8800 and high was 10.8k. the 2 step box needs to see a 12v to activate the low side, i used my ebrake. drop the ebrake, the 12v goes away, and runs on the high side rev limiter.

now im using the 75611 box with the 6al.
