MPG Engine swap: DX chassis VX engine?
Anyone know what would be involved? I know an engine and ecu would have to be acquired for a vx. What about wiring? would I be able to mate it to an auto trans?

I knew that you were going to ask that. But you have to think about it like this. Yes, you probably have the dx auto ecu (p06) but the time that you would spend rigging it up to do that you would have spent WAY too much time and it would have taken less time, money and energy to just convert it to manual with the vx trans. Or trade your car to someone with a vx that has a bad o2 sensor, who knows.

I'm actually in the market for a hatch with a possible vx swap down the road, just doing my research beforehand. I love driving stick, but I get stuck in traffic sometimes with work and the constant shifting is killing my left knee, so I'm trying to get an autotragedy to lower my bodily wear & tear.
Honda needs to re-release the 92-95 vx, hybrids suck!

The VX sucks. Get an HX head.
As for the auto tranny controls, you could probably jumper the ecu to control the tranny. Head over to http://www.pgmfi.org to find out.
