Moving location of radio in EG hatch
I got a 98 hatch and I was thinking how hard would it be to move the radio from the dash to the box near the cup holder? I think it would look cool, but i don't know what i would put in the big hole in the dash, maybe some gauges. All I would have to do is extend the wiring harness right?
Thanks
Dan

Re: Moving location of radio in EG hatch (turbotime)
its an easy install. I didnt even have to extend the wiring harness.
I either put the little plastic thing from the lower dinn where the radio use to be, or i put the face plate off the oem radio in its place so that it looks like i have a stock radio in the car.

Here's what it looks like in a 92-95 Civic EH or EG. I didn't extend the wires, and just moved the bottom tray to the top part of the dash where the stereo was before.

I just moved it, took about 10min. I tried to pu the box where the stereo used to be but it doesnt fit well. I think I will just make a fiberglass thing and put it there, with a spot for my radar detector to be hardwired in .
Thanks

How about picking up one of those radio block off trays from the dealer? Then you trim it to fit the radar detector, factory fit and finish
