Default Mounting ITR Seats, in an SI...

Or any 96-00 civic for that matter. I just got the seats, a big I've only tried on the passenger side but they wont bolt up, I guess only three do? What has everyone tried to get these to fit, and advice would be appreciated.
Thanks.

yeah i installed itr seats in my 00 si. just unbolt the itr rails from the itr seats and use the stock si rails.
drilling holes is only an option if u really want to use the itr rails

The bolt that doesnt line up is the one where the seat belt buckles are. The inner bolts.

You can cut off the notch on the end of the integ rail, then cut in a small notch in the back of the rail so that your bolt can go in the stock civic hole.

The main reason I did this was because I didn't want to use the civic rails since they are higher then the ITR rails. Being 6 feet tall, I wanted the seat as low as I could possibly go, and ITR rails are easily over an inch lower then civic rails.

Both ways will work just fine, just pick the one that is more comforatable for you.

just put ITR seats in my car as well, only three of the bolt holes will line up. you will be fine as long as don't let fat people sit in your car.

BTW, congrat for the new seats.

Well i was about to go and start working on swapping rails, but,
Being 6 feet tall, I wanted the seat as low as I could possibly go, and ITR rails are easily over an inch lower then civic rails.
I'm 6"2 and thats a big issue for me, head-room. Thanks for the info, what do you mean by notch, just drill a hole or?

LEt me first say that you should not leave that last bolt hole left untouched. Either swap the rails or do like I did. You will notice that that bolt is in the same location of where your seat belt buckle is. Do this, out of the car, plug in your seatbelt then pull the belt near the buckle. Feel the seat come up? Now imagine going 50 miles an hour and your body pushing into that seatbelt. Can you imagine how far forward and UP your seat will launch you? Not good.

Anyway, if you do the "notch mod" this is what is left when you are done.

You cant see it in this pic, but the seat rail has like an 1/8" square notch at the end of it so the bolt doesn't hit it when inserted in the stock hole. And the large washer is suffiecient IMO to protect you in a crash. If you are unsure, goto home depot and get some steel plate stock and make a larger rectangle washer to protrude farther up the rail to give it more support.

inside bolts, you can do the "notch mod" just like tonyxcom said

the outside bolts, you just need to bend the bracket down and screw the bolt in

Thanks guys, I'm going to try the notch or something custom to get all 3, with ITR rails in, but for now I'm just going to swap with SI rails....

SO a quick question, I'm doing this right now, on the passenger, right side i removed the railing easily, but on the left side I can't take JUST the railing off, i have to remove the seatbelt and that spring thingy......Is that the way it's supposed to be? I'm looking at whats left of the SI seat and it only has a little metal on one side.....
