Set-up... y8 manifold on a y7 engine, Fake J's intake with K&N filter....

I've had a little slim piece of aluminum mount that came with the intake... it broke sometime last week... I'm stopped at a light and I hear this thudding sound coming from under my hood. I finally realized that the little mount broke. I used some RTV sealant on it, and it broke on the ride home from work. My job is right across the street.

So, before i drive 25 miles to class in the morning, what mount should I be using? What mount do you guys have?

I know my AEM CAI came with a built in mount on the pipe, but the Fake J's does not have one...

Any suggestions? Any help is appreciated, Thanks in Advance!

mine slaps my hood when I start to move in the lower rpms, in high rpms, it's so loud i can't tell if it's hitting or not...

should i try tightening the clamps around the tb... i think they're already as tight as can be...

make your own mount out of aluminum and mount it to the clamp on the filter and then to the body to the body..

Use 2-way tape and stick a little piece of foam where the filter hits the hood
