mount Q?
I recently got a swap done from D-series to B. I was wondering do I really need to use the side tranny mount and the side front engine mount? What would happen if I don’t use those mounts? Also does the stock manual sohc side tranny mout fit onto the B-series trans?

Re: mount Q? (widebodyeg)
Ok so using 3 out of the 5 mounting points would be fine…whats the benefit of using all (torque mounts). I am just wondering cause those mounts do add some weight specially the front torque mount… where the A/C mounts onto. I want to make up some of the weight difference gain from the swap.

the weight is negligible it is like 3-5 pounds
tranny mount is the same - you could use only 3 but you are gonna put less power to the ground and have more play. If you only wanna use 3 mounts go get hasport or other choice strong solid mounts.
