i did a valve adjustment on my ls v-tec but the motor still ticking. do any body know what can be wrong or whats the proper feeler gauge size for the ls v-tec? i use .006 & .007 feeler gauge size. my cousin said its a normal tick but when i put thicker oil in the tick goes away but it comes back after a couple days.

stop beating the **** out of it, meanwhile, find another ls bottom end. or a bottom end that can handle the vtec...

do you have a built head? my motor ticks like crazy but i need a slight valve adjustment but even when they are adjusted they are loud as [freak]... its a fully built b20 vtec b16 head.
