Default Motor/swap question

I might be getting a z6 for my VX (currently have d15z1)

do i need the axles like the other swaps or because its the same gen. i wont? the guy who is selling it is selling it complete swap so i was just wondering if that is, engine, tranny, ecu all the other stuff as well...

another question; the swap is a joke bascially right and should take to long to do and it shouldnt be very $ at the same time right?

thanks

The swap is very simple. You can use your mounts, axles, shift linkage, etc. Run the p28 if you can and eliminate the EGR, or swap manifolds out if you feel it necessary. But everything else is a-ok

im not saying its a joke i was asking

"the swap is a joke right?"

the swap will come withevery, ecu, tranny (z6 tranny) im gonna put my vx motor somewhere so if something goes wrong i can just replace it. but is there anything i should be looking at? the motor only has 178 KM on it, doesnt burn oil and is in good shape. any recommendations?

You will also need a 4 wire 02 to eliminate the CEL. D16z6 should pull pretty decent if swap it right. I recomend not using stock CX tranny because you could go up to like 45-46 mph in first gear, get something else like ex/si or if you can jdm d15 tranny with LSD. I would also say get all the vtec plugs, and try to get driver side d16z6 engine mount because it's not interchangable with a cx one (or you will have to swap the whole mount of your d15 and put it on d16).

BTW how much are you paying for the motor?

Get the p28. The swap you just did, hopefully you didnt pay too much b/c unless you were in a tight spot and HAD to remove the d15, you could have waited out a little longer and gotten a motor with little more bang.

well the whole swap comes with ECU, the SI tranny etc... so it will be done right and the shop that might be doing it for me, ttunes, dynos installs engines like no other around here. his hatchback civic is 610 hp and his talon is not dynoed yet. but the guy might let it go for 300$ CDN full swap. hes a friend of mine and knows i need an engine.

the d15z1 already has vtec(h haha) so im nto sure about the other wires you were talking about
