Motor Swap Question?
I'm almost done with my install of a SiR-II 92-95 B16A motor into my 1995 EG Hatch. I'm wondering what to do with the plug that went into my stock motor's MAP sensor??? The new JDM motor didn't have a MAP sensor on the TB, but the aftermarket TB I baught has the spot for a MAP Sensor. What do I do if I'm using the p30 ECU that came with the JDM motor??? Thanks so much for any help

just extend the harness to the T/B. the motor you pulled from that jdm civic has the map sensor on the fire wall. which is not far from the T/B. just cut where the wire is strapped down too and connect it to the sensor on the T/B.

I think I'm understanding you, but I'm using my 95 EG's stock harness. So does that mean I just plug the MAP on the stock harness into the original MAP sensor that was on the D15B8's TB???

the harness on your car is the same from the motor and vice versa. if your old motor had the map on the T/B and you have a new T/B that you plan on putting on the b16 the just swap out the map onto the T/B>
this is what the map from a 92-93 civic should look, also the same on the jdm motors.

this is what the map from a 94-95 civic should look, the same that is from your car.

just take it off one T/B and put it on another, or get a map from a 92-93 civic. but the harness hooks up to both.

Re: Motor Swap Question? (philosofy1)
Thanks so much for your help
I baught a AEBS IM and a TB to use on this swap. The JDM motor came with the external MAP type sensor, so I never saw that the plug would work either if I had an external sensor or the one that mounts on the top of the TB. So the D15B8's sensor will fit on the new TB and plug right into the harness.
