Motor swap probs?

Default Motor swap probs?

Alright heres the problem me and my friend just swapped in a d15b7 into his 92 civic Were having a hole bunch of problems...ok first off the speedometer does not work at all ...all of the other gauges work but not the speedometer....also the car will not idle at a steady rpm it goes from 1.5 k to 2k and makes the reahruh ruahruh sound when idling ....also when you let off the gas there is a very loud clunking noise ...the tranny and axels are all on properly but still there is that goddam noise and how do you make the belts not squeek so much?........please help it will be very appreciated
oh by the way we also had to replace the head gasket but that was done correctly

Well for starters there is a speedo sensor on the tranny that should be plugged in. If there is a problem then you need to replace that sensor cause thats what reads your speed. For your idle if its to high either check your throttle cable and just loosen it a little bit or there is usually a little flat head screw on the left front side of the intake manifold that you can tighten or loosen which changes your idle. Did you make sure that the timing was done right again? Tighten your belts, thats the only way to make them not sqweek or replace them with brand new ones
