Default Motor Swap: Easiest, Fuel Efficient, Full Bolt Ons?

Hi,

I looking for a motor to swap into a hatch and was curious which I should get. I read the sticky but I'm looking for one that is fairly easy to swap (This will be my first swap ever) and is fairly fuel efficient. My goal is to run 14's in the 1/4 after the swap with full bolt ons with tuning and some headwork. I was looking at the H22 but are there really any other options for what I want to do? What do you think would be the fastest motor with full bolt ons in a hatch?

Thanks.

just get a gsr engine. its easy. it's relatively quick, and will not require a mount kit like that for the h22.

Okay, thanks for the quick reply. With the B18C1, what kind of times do you think I could get with full bolt ons with tuning and some headwork?

Thanks.

With bolt ons in a hatch on a gsr swap you should easily be able to get into the 14's , possibly 13's if you have a lsd tranny and some good headwork.

It's most likely going to be going into an EK. So low 14's is going to be pretty easy to hit, right?

EK hatch or coupe? If you do some nice p/p work on the head and some nice cam's and get it tuned right low 14's should be no problem still depending on the car though. It will make a big difference on the tranny side to if you have LSD or not.

It will be an EK Hatch. I really appreciate all of the replies guys. What do you think would be the fastest time possible N/A with a B18C1 with the whole nine yards (Full bolt ons, headwork, LSD, etc.)?

Thanks so much!

Thanks!

I think I'll probably have my uncle try and help me with it as he restores old Porsche's and is pretty knowledgable but if not I'll drop you a line!
