Motor swap??
Hey guys whats up? Ok check this it....is there a way to swap a motor without a motor hoist...all that is left under my hood is the bottom end and tranny...cant i put something under the tranny and bottom end to hold it up till i can undo all the bolts and pull it out with some friends? i really wanna get my car running again....thanks!

exactly. but if you really have to do it without it, jack the front of the car way up in the air and put it in from the bottom with a heavy duty floor jack. it wont be easy, but it can be done. id just go and rent a hoist. it will be way easier

i did 2 complete b16 swaps in a crx (tight fit) from the bottom end. never did a swap using a hoist. had 2 people lift the car from the sides and slid it from the bottom

did u do that putting the motors in also?

yes i took the motor out from the bottom and soon as u pulled it out i slid the new one in and dropped the car down onto the motor....very simple. i was suprised how easy it is. i have a hoist at my girlfriends but it was not needed. never used a hoist so i cant tell you which was easier but a b16 is a tight fit in the crx and i found it to be very easy
