Default Which motor swap?

Ok. I want to go boost. Which motor should I get, Jspec B16A2 or Jspec B18C Si-G (GSR)?? Someone told me that the B16A2 would be better for boostin' because the engine is stronger or something, I don't know. What do you guys think? I need some feedback! thanks!

I think you and your friend need to do some more research.

what he said. i believe b18b has a lower compression level, making it an ideal motor to boost

good luck

vtec don't help much when you already have boost... just turbo your SOHC, you be happier......

It would be quite a bit cheaper to just turbo the sohc. If you really want to swap first though, I'd say the b18 or LS. The b16 would be great for high rpm NA though.

No matter what engine you buy, if you want to go with boost over 15psi you will need to build the engine and preferrably sleeve it.

Cost of the engine should be considered along with the costs to build it up for bigger boost.
If your plans are lower boost like 8-10psi then try to find the lowest miled engine as possible.

In any case you'll need some GOOD fuel/engine management like hondata, so save up for that too along with a few hourse of dyno tuning.

You need to do a lot more research before you post such a general topic.

Search the forced Induction forum first.
