Motor swap for a 1993 del sol
I have a 1993 del sol and i really wanna make this car fly...and im having trouble deciding wht engine should ithrow in there...could somebody help me out and let me know wht engine i could use to do tht??

it doesnt really matter to me how much i spend...im doin the work myself...it an automatic rite now so i have my work cut out for me...i jus wnt to drop the fastest engine i can in tht little car...

or u can try ebay..there are some good shops on ebay selling the good engine swaps with a month warranty and since u are near miami i think there is a shop in miami sells all kind of engine swap...

your rite tht k20 looks so freakin nice...but its like $$6000...would it really be woth it to swap tht into my del sol...isnt tht a 6 speed?? Do you think tht would slide rite in...or would i have some problems with the mounting??

i thought u said money is not a problem to u and u can do all the work by yourself? k 20 wont just drop in cause it is a newer honda engine.and it sits totally opposite than d, b, h and f series engines...u will need a lot of parts..labor .and time to make this conversion work..u will be looking at over $10000 for this conversion...
and if u need ac..only "if", u wont be able to run the ac system on your eg or ek with k series swap..but with b series engines...u can

b18b1, start out with that, once you start acquiring more knowledge about honda motors you can swap to an ls/Vtec and go fast
or poor mans type r, thats what i had b4 i crashed mine

Seriously, search. A k series would be the 'fastest', but sounds like you don't know a whole lot about swaps.
I'd say if you still have the money then go with a b18c5.

so i decided to swap with a b18c...i bought it off of jsamotors.com...i paid 2990 for the complete motorswap...alot less then the k20...lol...

Ya, they're like 8k for all the parts (K's) - if you were lookin for raw speed you shoulda went with a lighter chassis, sols are kinda on the heavy side.
