Default Motor Questions.

Im currently looking for a civic so i dont know what model, and engine i will end up with, i do know it will be a D series.

My questions are.
For a 300whp Goal. Sleeve the engine or not?
Compression ratio? 9:1 or lower?
Will all the D series handle 300whp?
The only lower end part i play on keeping is the crank.
Fuel management, WHO????????

if you end up with a bseries, it will handle 300whp, if its a d....i'd be careful unless you got the dough to have a back up motor...which wont be too hell of alot of a dswap.

Give more info... Daily driven.. yay or nay?

and i dream of hondatas300 and only hear good things.

also hear its overpriced and overrated aswell...but people who spend the money arent really complaining.

d16z6 are the better ones because of they're great oiling system which the y8's lack. You can easily make 300whp out of a z6 or y8 though, without sleeving. Do a vitara setup (check out my build thread, shows you a lot) and use at least a .57trim t3/t4 and you should hit 300whp at around 20psi. engine management you can use crome or crome pro, hondata, or neptune. Use around a 660cc injectors too, and you'll need a better clutch and map sensor.

Im sorry. Yes D/D. Mostly just to work. I will spend prolly $1,500. Need to be reliable. Prolly wont run it at 300whp at all times.

i dont think you'll reach 300 whp with $1500 though. the rods and pistons and headgasket are like $800 alone.

Looking for something kinda fast. What would a 300hp car run. 1/4 times?
